Design Guidelines 1) Sleds must be constructed out of corrugated cardboard, tape, and glue.
· You may NOT use: corrugated plastics; non-corrugated cardboard (such as carpet tubes); cardboard that is bonded to other materials; epoxy reinforced cardboard. If there is any doubt, don’t use it! 2) NO wood, industrial adhesives, staples, rope, twine, plastic or any metal hardware. 3) Your sled must be free of sharp edges, pointy objects, or any other feature that may be deemed dangerous by the inspectors. If you are unable to remove such objects from your sled, you will not be allowed to compete |
Event Rules1) Your sled must pass inspection in order to participate.
2) All riders must wear helmets (Bike helmets are permitted). 3) No more than four participants per sled. 4) Each sled will have one opportunity to race. 5) You may decorate your sled with paint, markers, etc. 6) Costumes are allowed and greatly encouraged –may be considered for certain awards!! |
